The Growth Cast - Crypto, Chat Bots and the Lunar New Year

 

It's 2022, and we are back!  

Don’t worry, we aren’t going to say happy new year, although we did think about it. Nevertheless, we hope your year is off to a wonderful and prosperous start. Please excuse us, we are a bit late recording our first episode of the year. 2022 is off to a rocket start for us – especially Nick, who recently became a dad (finally all those dad jokes are gonna pay off)!  

Before all of that happened, we took some time to record our first episode of the year. In this episode, we look forward to our year of podcasting to come and let you know what we think are going to be some of the trends to watch for eCommerce in ’22. We also go on somewhat of a myth-busting journey regarding certain “cryptic” topics, which are currently all the rage.  

So, three of the topics which we predict to be change drivers and topics we’d like to delve deeper into this year are:  

1. Crypto currencies - they aren’t just for bros, right? Correct, while we advocate for a bro-free world in general, we would like to further explore the role of crypto in the SaaS and eCommerce worlds. In a future episode, we’d like to cut through the hype, myths and stereotypes and assess the legitimacy of crypto in the eCommerce world.  

2. “Conversational marketing is like email marketing except it happens in seconds” – Nicholas Oswald, 2022. This year Nick is going to show us how conversational marketing is much more than just chat bots. We plan to zoom in on its ability to allow sellers to automate large parts of the buying process, while making it easier for buyers to ask questions, get answers and wrap up the buying process quickly and simply. Finally, we’ll also explore how Drift is helping companies like cleverbridge boost conversion rates and revenue, via our partnership 

3. 2022 is the year of the tiger, right? Wrong, 2022 is the year of B2B renewal automation, well at least for cleverbridge it is – and we believe it should be for you too! This year we are going to further explore the B2B sales revolution. We plan to touch on topics such as renewal automation, the great resignation, customer experience and augmenting humanled selling experiences with digital and tools such as Drift etc…  

Don’t worry, we are going to talk about much more than the topics above, they are going to be somewhat of our north star however!
