About the role

This role focuses on building and evolving a platform system across backend services and frontend applications using .NET and modern web technologies. 

The position contributes to the reliability and maintainability of the system while supporting the introduction of new functionality and improvements to development practices. 

The role involves working within a large and established codebase, delivering improvements and new features across both frontend and backend layers while preserving the stability of the production platform. 

Success in this role requires a sense of ownership, solid technical judgment, and the ability to balance ongoing development with incremental improvements.

Your background

• Solid experience with C# and modern .NET development.

• Experience working with modern front-end technologies (e.g. React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).

• Understanding of rendering strategies, including SSR, SSG, and CSR.

• Familiarity with UI component libraries (e.g. Material UI, Ant Design, or similar).

• Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.

• Experience implementing and maintaining GraphQL APIs (schema design, resolvers, query performance).

• Good understanding of software design principles and system architecture.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows and collaborative code review practices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS cloud services and distributed systems.

• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or similar tools.

• Experience improving application performance in production environments.

• Experience working with large or complex systems.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance backend services implemented in C# and .NET.

• Contribute to the development and operation of features and services from implementation through production, including monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

• Work effectively within a large, established codebase and contribute to changes without disrupting the stability of the running platform.

• Identify areas of technical debt, system inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and contribute to addressing them.

• Contribute to refactoring and improving existing codebases to support maintainability and stability.

• Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs used by internal and external consumers.

• Contribute to the design and development of APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar) with a focus on consistency and maintainability.

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using modern frameworks (e.g. React, TypeScript).

• Integrate third-party APIs and external systems into the platform.

• Support the investigation and resolution of production issues, including root-cause analysis and implementation of long-term fixes.

• Improve development and delivery of workflows through CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.

• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to team standards.

• Be aware of performance and cost implications when designing and implementing solutions, especially in a cloud-based environment.

• Communicate progress, challenges, and trade-offs clearly within the team.

• Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver incremental, value-driven solutions
